Betbright.com is an Irish based bookies serving both Ireland and the UK. What a change it is to see a cheerful site. Sports betting doesn’t need all the bells and whistle but why oh why are they all so drab. Gambling on your favourite sport is supposed to be fun.
Betbright has injected some of it back into the industry. No black and grey dismal pages here bright blue, splashes of yellow, and immediately you feel welcome. The format of the site is standard list of sports on the left, in the middle fixtures and events when you click on them you get the full markets available for each. The slight difference from the norm is the betting slip is a tab on the left that slides out. The rest of the left hand side is banners with info and of course the casino side games.
It seems these days you can’t just have a sports book so there is of course a casino linked to the site as well as a live casino. This is relevant to a Betbright sports book review because to run a live online casino it takes some cash and commitment.
As we all know promotions are for marketing reasons. The clues in the name really and with a Betbright bonus it’s no different. There are a ton of them regularly offered. Free bets on Accas if one selection lets you down. NFL promos if your team is leading up to the third quarter and losses you get a free bet. 25% bonus on Premier League Darts’ winnings. A sign up welcome of a £50 free bet if your first bet loses. There’s more lots more. The thing is they all come with terms and conditions. This seems to be something that a lot of people forget.
A bookie is in business to turn a profit they are not just going to give money away. It’s a bit underhand to hide things in terms and conditions yes. But the rules are there and if you really believe you are getting something for nothing you should give up betting altogether.
Betbright is an Irish bookies that has Irish and UK customers and as such football and horse racing are huge here. The odds for horse racing are guaranteed to be the best you can get. You can place a bet on any horse at all of the days meets. Then there’s the footie. Every league you think you need to bet on is available, cup matches from around the world. Africa Cup? No problem. U18s yep got them too. Saudi Arabia professional league that too.
Most popular sports are covered but there isn’t quite the range that some have. The odds offered on Premier League matches are pretty good in fact you can get some excellent odds but the markets available are at the lower end of the scale. On average less than 40 markets is not good. And that’s with the most popular choices. Go down the list of sports and it gets worse. If you like to gamble on American Football you’re looking at less than twenty markets.
The live streaming of horse racing is a nice touch. Usually the preserve of the major players it’s nice to see one of the young guns giving it a go. Seamless software the streaming is great used with the Betbright in-play feature and it makes for a good afternoons entertainment. It’s just like being at the high street shop watching, except it smells better and the local drunk isn’t breathing on you!
The live streaming and in-play functionality does make up for some of the downsides for sure. No we come to the not so good the Betbright mobile app gets a fair bit of bad press. It looks great it just doesn’t seem to work as well as it looks. It is a shame, it’s not the worse by any means and you can download for both Android and iOS. Maybe there are just a few glitches that will get sorted let’s hope so because it does look fantastic.
Unfortunately there have been a few bad reviews for Betbright in the last six months or so. Everything was going so well from the start. Problems seem to surround withdrawals and the apparent lack of customer service. This is by no means the norm in fact Betbright were get some excellent reviews. They are fully licensed with the UK Gambling Commission and the Irish Government as well.
IBAN is their chosen dispute resolution service so things if they are going wrong should be getting looked into. The Gambling Commission do take their job seriously so these issues need to be kept an eye on. Unfortunately there are still lots of problems with people have duplicate accounts or not understanding terms and conditions. Then they post lots of bad reviews in forums but the threads go nowhere. A lot of them are just sore losers some are not. But unless facts are discussed in threads they should really be taken with a pinch of salt.
The bottom line is if half of the bad reviews are true then the company will not last. There is always going to be a lot of misinformation around and some people just have a better experience than others. Betbright has got a lot going for it. The site is fantastic and works very well. There are a few downsides though. The payment methods are quite restricted debit and credit cards seem to be the only thing allowed. Which these days is not good.
The customer service is only open certain times to talk in person but the chat feature works 24/7.There have been complaints of rude agents but we have not had that happen. The verdict is a mixed one.
